From Adrian Griffiths at 2003-11-09 12:48:37 : 2344 is standing in the yard at Southgate Street Bus Station in Leicester - the Cathedral spire is in the background. Not exactly a bus station - more a yard adjacent to the Southgate Street garage belonging to Midland Red. It was used as a terminus for longer distance services from Leicester - to Grantham (joint with Midland Red Service No. 662), Coventry, Birmingham, Northampton and Hereford and various coach services - United Counties MX5 to London being one which sticks in my mind - and, of course, the Black & White coaches to Cheltenham!
