From Andy Clegg at 2008-11-15 21:45:29 : As a Rochdale lad born in 1949 who moved down south in 1978 and who returns to the town very infrequently these photos brought back many happy memories. My bus travels from Bury Road into town on the No. 5 and No. 19 services to go to the Boys Technical school and taking the No. 12 service to work at Turner Bros. Spotland later followed getting married and living at Marland with the No. 21 to Bury or the No.17 to Manchester. Happy days!!!! My favourite journey was the express No. 90 into Manchester, it always seemed Rochdale used its newest bus,Manchester its oldest (some real gems) and Oldham used anything that moved!!!!!
