Even today you see unusual place names on destination displays. Here, showing service H14 from Hereford Bus Station to Bobblestock, is Midland Red 4586 [586AHA], a 1957 BMMO S14 with BMMO B43F body

The ‘C5’ class of coaches were used on local express routes (C5 & CS5) and motorway services (CM5 & CM5T). In the parking area outside Birmingham’s Digbeth Coach Station is Midland Red 4793 [793GHA]. This is a BMMO C5 with BMMO C37F coachwork and was new in 1959

The BMMO D9 began production in 1960, though Midland Red 5028 [3028HA] is of 1963 vintage. It has BMMO built H40/32RD bodywork and is seen in Shrewsbury on local service S19 to Lythwood Hall

Stratford Blue 35 [JUE351] is a Leyland PS2/3 with Northern Counties H35/28F (1963) bodywork. It was new in 1950 as a single-decker with Willowbrook DP34F body. It is seen at the depot in the centre of Stratford
